Carnitine: Providing Circulatory and Heart-Health Benefits
Carnitine is a nonessential amino acid formed in the kidneys from the amino acids lysine and methionine. ("Nonessential" means the body is able to produce the amino acid on its own.) Carnitine aids in converting fatty acids into energy used by muscles throughout the body. It is stored in the skeletal muscles, heart, brain, and sperm.
The heart contains the most carnitine of any organ in the body. Those suffering several heart or circulation conditions may benefit from additional carnitine intake. The heart requires a lot of energy, and carnitine appears to help it function better.
Each capsule of our product contains 500 mg of acetyl L-carnitine. A pharmaceutical company manufactures our product under strict quality-control standards without the use of harsh solvents. In our regulatory system, the manufacturing process is regulated to the same high standards as over-the-counter drugs.
